Your customers check for service before they buy.
Not after something breaks - before. And when the answer is “no authorized service, no parts in your country,” they quietly choose another brand. Here’s what we’ve learned, and how we help.
There’s a moment most brands don’t see. It happens before the sale, on a product page or in a store, when a customer pauses and asks a simple question: “If this breaks, can anyone here actually fix it?”
We know this moment happens, because we’re the ones who get the call. Not from your service department - from your potential customers. People phone us before they buy a robot vacuum or a smart appliance, asking whether a specific brand can be repaired in Romania, whether spare parts are available, and whether there’s an authorized service they can trust.
They’re doing their homework. And the brands that pass that check have an advantage the others never even see.
Service isn’t a cost center. It’s a reason to buy.
Most manufacturers treat after-sales as something that happens after - a warranty obligation, a line in the budget, a problem to minimize. But for a growing category like home robotics, service has quietly become part of the purchase decision itself.
A robot vacuum isn’t a disposable gadget. It’s a €300-€1,500 device that people expect to own for years. Before spending that, a careful buyer wants to know it won’t become e-waste the first time a sensor fails. “Is there authorized service in my country?” is now a pre-sale question - and in Romania, we hear it constantly.
The real bottleneck isn’t parts. It’s people.
When we started, we hit a wall that surprised us. Sourcing parts was solvable. Building the workshop was solvable. But finding technicians who actually know how to diagnose and repair modern home robots - that was nearly impossible. This is a new trade, and the schools haven’t caught up to it yet.
So we stopped waiting for trained specialists to appear, and started forming them ourselves. Every technician in our workshop was trained in-house, by a mentor, on real devices. It’s slower than hiring ready-made experts - but there are no ready-made experts in this field. There’s only the choice to build them.
That decision turned into something bigger than a hiring strategy. It became our mission.
For a manufacturer, this is the part that matters most. A service partner is only as good as the people doing the work. Because we train our own, we can offer something a subcontracted repair desk can’t:
- Consistent standards - every technician learns the same way, to the same quality bar.
- Low turnover - people we’ve invested in tend to stay and grow with us.
- Scalable capacity - as your volume grows in Romania and the region, our trained workforce grows with it.
